History of the Women\'s Council of NAREBThe Women’s Council was formed in 1971 in Atlanta, GA, and as we know, up to today the Women’s Council remains NAREB’s largest affiliate.Today, women comprise over 53 percent of the National Association of Real Estate Broker\'s membership with women participating in all divisions and aspects of the organization. Just as the need to exist compelled the development of the Women\'s Council many years ago, the need continues to exist for many compelling reasons.The Women’s Council of NAREB still remains a viable avenue and vehicle, for us to learn and become strong and effective leaders. Our mission of the Women\'s Council of NAREB is to elevate the standards of women in the real estate industry by encouraging leadership, education and the exchange of information through group learning techniques and to provide the opportunity for women to expand their knowledge of real estate in all areas of the business.We invite you to join the Women\'s Council of Philadelphia, Inc (Women’s Council of NAREB’s Philadelphia Chapter) and become an active member in the nation\'s most effective minority women\'s real estate organization.
