   LAYER Architecture is a full service design practice based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We founded our practice on the principle that the best design solutions are uncovered through open and collaborative communication. Each partner possesses unique qualities and strengths that support your team. Our ability to adapt to your needs allows for unique solutions. During design, document production, and construction administration our team will bring the best of our experience to serve your project.Our firm can work at any scale. No project is too small or too large. With 75 years of collective experience among our three partners, we offer top tier design expertise with the flexibility and agility of a small design practice. We are used to working with people who have limited resources and need us to do more with less. Being nimble allows us to author the most practical and actionable design solutions. We specialize in commercial, educational, and residential design projects. While the design process must consider various possibilities and priorities, we believe this layered process reveals and integrates the building materials into simple yet well-designed spaces. Our work is a critical reflection of our time.
