About Keith Wolf

Dr. Keith Wolf is a senior environmental planner, engineer, biologist, teacher/lecturer, and climate change scientist known for aligning science-driven partnerships and programs with government agencies, private industry, and stakeholder networks. His career spans leadership roles in state, county, federal, and tribal governments, academia, NGOs, and private industry, where he has effectively managed complex environmental programs, establishing science practice areas and multiple research centers of excellence. Citing a current example, he is helping inaugurate the West Coast Ocean Science Action Agenda as a Governor-appointed Board member (see: This program advances innovations in nature-based, geoengineered, and applied research solutions to meet the challenges of conservation, resource management, and community and economic resilience. As an active and tireless advocate for sustainable futures, Keith speaks at universities, conferences, and corporate events, promoting science-based pathways to successful environmental outcomes.He also recently served at the U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA Fisheries, where he was a member of the West Coast Climate Team and NOAA\'s Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal working group. His leadership has extended to directing and developing collaborative research and monitoring programs with partners in the U.S. and Canada, and he co-led a global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Climate, and Sustainability Task Force in 48 countries across the Asia Pacific and Americas. Dr. Wolf’s academic credentials include a B.S. in Natural Resources Management, alongside certificates in GIS, Climate Scenario Planning, and Project Management from Sheppard University, Bellevue College, Pacific Lutheran University, and Western Washington University. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, with distinction (i.e, summa cum laude, highest honor), developing innovations advancing environmental imagery processing and analytical systems.Finally, in addition to his scientific career, Dr. Wolf is the founder and president of KWA Ecological Sciences Inc. and KWA Documentary Films, LLC, a consultancy specializing in media and communications that raise awareness of global environmental change.
