ABOUT WOLFGANG JUNG

Being a Rocket Scientist combines Passion with Profession\" Wolfgang Jung has 30 years of experience in the Aerospace Sector and launched more than 100 rockets into space. It all started with a brief military career as Reserve Officer for Short Range Ballistic Missiles, followed by two Academic Degrees (Aerospace Engineering and Space Systems Engineering) and more than two decades at DLR\'s Mobile Rocket Base (MORABA). Leading functions as Project Manager for national and international projects, as well as Team Leader for the Launch Services Group and Vice Head of Department at MORABA forms part of his Curriculum Vitae. He was responsible for coordinating all defence related research programs, projects and studies and participated in international bodies such as the EuroLaunch Management Board, and as Expert in ESA\'s EASP Committee. In December 2019 he was appointed as DLR\'s Coordinator for Responsive Space. Since the Responsive Space Cluster Competence Center (RSC³) was founded in 2020, Wolfgang Jung has been responsible as Head of Technology and Department Head for Technology Demonstration. Internationally, he supports NATO STO Research Task Groups and the RSC MOU. In addition, Wolfgang Jung serves as a Reserve Officer in the Strategy Department at the Cyber and Information Domain Service headquarters in Bonn.
