ABOUT WOJCIECH ZAWODNY
I am an enthusiastic medicinal chemist with a passion for drug discovery and the application of innovative synthetic solutions in projects. I have championed new technologies for the department and developed protocols for their use. I completed my undergraduate degree (Master of Chemistry) in 2013 at the University of Manchester ranked first in the year. In 2017, I obtained a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Manchester with Prof Jonathan Clayden, Prof Nicholas Turner and Dr Daniele Leonori as supervisors. I held a postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Vienna in Prof Nuno Maulide\'s group. My academic portfolio involves hands on experience in organolithium chemistry, biocatalysis, photoredox catalysis, foldamer chemistry and amide activation.
