In this role I lead a team of 5 responsible for wellness initiatives for over 600 staff and faculty across four campuses and over 20 clinical sites geographically dispersed across Texas. I also Chair the Learning Environment Enhancement Committee, which includes overseeing a professionalism-related disciplinary recommendations process for students, staff, and faculty, as well as a related peer messenger program for minor violations. Additionally, I lead the committee in recognizing and rewarding exemplary acts across the college. Both of these processes include overseeing reporting and education of all students, staff, and faculty. As an additional responsibility, I teach an introduction to organizational values, several wellness planning related short-courses, act as a coordinator and point of contact for the organizational “Stand Up, Step In Trauma Informed Care” program, and the “Green Dot Bystander Intervention” program.Finally, I ensure Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) Standard 3.5 and 3.6 compliance, provide senior leadership guidance on related survey data collected, goals set and efforts made, and represent the college at community events such including charity galas and Mayoral-focus groups as appropriate.
