Can I tell you something most consultants never admit?I stopped writing business plans because they didn’t work.Clients wanted them - sometimes even loved them.I watched them gather dust.Plans rarely survive contact with reality. They assume stability in a world that keeps shifting.In 2011, I discovered business design, and everything changed:Testing replaced guessing.Evidence replaced assumptions.Learning replaced certainty.But even then, something was missing.A company can have a validated strategy/business model and still fail -because strategy alone can’t save an organisation. Culture does.People aren’t \"resources\"; they’re the system that makes everything possible.When they become co-creators instead of passengers, strategy becomes real.Over time, I realised that businesses never operate in a vacuum. Technological, economic and environmental pressures have always shaped them - and designing strategy without acknowledging these forces isn’t bold, it’s careless.
