   Conduct traffic studies and capacity analyses for state and local projects using software including TransModeler, Synchro/SimTraffic, and HCS and prepare capacity analysis reports for these studies-Analyze innovative intersection designs including continuous flow intersections (CFI), superstreets, roundabouts, median U-turns (MUT), and quadrant left intersections (QRI). Several of the designs, including a CFI, a QRI, and roundabouts, have been selected as the preferred design option and are now in the design phase-Conduct traffic forecasts for state projects, including data processing, assisting with travel demand modeling using TransCAD, and preparing traffic forecasting documentation (reports, model files, etc.) for submittal-Design and review traffic signal plans including geometric layouts and electrical details-Design Build experience: Review preliminary designs for potential cost savings through ATCs (Alternative Technical Concepts) during the pursuit phase of multiple design build projects and have helped refine concepts by reducing right-of-way impacts, narrowing or eliminating bridges/structures from proposed designs, and reducing environmental impacts-Project Management experience: Prepare scopes of work, task lists, and fee estimates for traffic forecasts, capacity analyses, TIAs, signal design, cable routing plan design, feasibility studies, and crash analyses. I have prepared fee estimates using several programs/spreadsheets, including NCDOT’s Scope and Manday Estimate Form-Develop spreadsheets and programs to automate repetitive processes and reduce manual data entry, including spreadsheets to automate traffic volume input into traffic software and to automate traffic volume figures in reports by creating figures directly in Excel and eliminating manual data entry-Mentor and train junior staff by providing training on traffic software and reviewing analysis files and reports.
