ABOUT MONA WINTERS

I work as a Sustainability Assurance Consultant at Deloitte, where I focus on auditing and advising companies on CSRD, EU Taxonomy and broader ESG topics. My projects range from assurance engagements on social sustainability to research collaborations on the first implementations of CSRD. Beyond client work, I am also involved in pro bono initiatives such as SkillUp! and the Deloitte Charity Board in Cologne. Alongside my consulting role, I serve as Chair of ApplicAid, a non-profit dedicated to making scholarships more accessible to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Together with a team of 40 volunteers, I coordinate our network, partnerships, and board activities. Over the past years, ApplicAid has helped students secure scholarships worth more than €1.5 million. What connects both roles is my drive to build structures that create access and opportunity—whether by supporting companies in shaping transparent sustainability practices or by working towards more equity in education. I enjoy bringing people together across disciplines and sectors and I am always open for conversations on sustainability, education, and social impact.
