ABOUT WINNIE HSIANG

Why do you have to make things so complicated?\" This sentence has been the most common evaluation given to me by my parents throughout my life. This is me, a person who is keen to follow steps, operate her own lifestyle, and insist on reaching goals.Currently, I am a second-year computer engineering student at the University of Toronto. I have learned and utilized HTML, C, C++, Python, Pytorch, and Arduino to make projects and participate in hackathons. During my first year, I achieved a GPA of 3.94 with an average grade of A+ in my courses. In addition to that, I am also pursuing minors in Bioengineering and Music.I have done numerous personality tests and I have asked many friends about my temperament, and the consensus is that I am a \"thinker\": someone who spends a lot of time pondering. Whether about academics or life, I always like to explore the possible shortcomings and consequences of choosing a path and analyze the uncertain factors.This personality trait provides me with a unique and fluid mode of understanding when learning and dealing with things. I am able to think of information and find solutions in all directions; when playing a new piece of music, I always have my own interpretation that I want to express through melody. I can also plan interesting group activities; when organizing the math club, I always have novel ways to lead everyone to enjoy mathematics. Because of these characteristics, many friends and teachers feel that I have a lot of capricious ideas and feel that my mind is running quickly.I am grateful and proud that my rich experiences have given me a wealth of logical thinking skills. It allows me to be full of creativity and enthusiasm for researching and discussing subjects. This “gift” completes me, makes my life run regularly and efficiently, and gives me full capacity and vitality.
