Responsibilities: • Managing the wide-area and local-area networks consisting of 100+ servers and 500+ network-connected devices • Providing support for 275+ associates across our corporate office, 5 collar sites and datacenter • Configuring and administrating all routing, switching, firewall and wireless technology • Promptly responding to after-hours emergency networking calls 24/7 Key Network Accomplishments: • Replaced older WAN technologies with new service providers, evolving from VPLS to branch office site-to-site VPN’s • Introduced the OSPF routing protocol to create a loop-free, and fast converging Wide Area Network • Replaced legacy Cisco network switches with current models that added new features such as 1 GB port speeds, PoE, port security, path redundancy and network loop prevention
