ABOUT TIMOTHY M. WILSON

Biochemist by training. Operational and commercial leader by practice. PhD in Biochemistry with 15+ years of progressive experience spanning academic research, GMP quality control, analytical development, and business development in the life sciences CDMO sector. In industry, the focus has been on building things that don\'t yet exist: GMP QC departments, analytical infrastructure, laboratory capital programs, and BD pipelines. At Forge Biologics and AmplifyBio, QC and analytical organizations were built from the ground up at startup CGT CDMOs, supporting AAV and cell therapy programs through IND and toward manufacturing readiness. Laboratory capital programs across both sites exceeded $10M. In a current BD leadership role at an aqueous injectable CDMO, the function has produced significant new business growth in 2026. The scientific foundation, including deep fluency in analytical method development, GxP regulatory frameworks, and CGT modalities, translates directly into more effective client conversations. The ability to engage a client\'s scientific leadership as a peer, then transition to scoping, proposal authorship, and deal closure, is a combination that\'s genuinely uncommon in BD. Areas of depth: Viral Vector & Cell therapies · Aqueous injectables · Analytical method development & validation · GMP QC operations · IND/BLA CMC support · BD pipeline development · LIMS/ELN implementation · FDA, ICH & EMA compliance
