Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP)- Proposed Small Modular Reactor (SMR) located in Clarington, ON. This project will use the GE-H BWRX-300 reactor rated for 300MWe. This grid-scale SMR is a First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) project for Canada.• Design team lead of the site preparation activities for the SMR as part of the Infrastructure Engineering team• Lead cross-functional site layout design teams. This involves allocating real estate/time slots, infrastructure planning, construction planning, and meeting licence/regulatory requirements• Oversee contracted engineering and construction teams. This includes providing technical requirements, creating procedures, design reviews/acceptance, site inspections, construction planning, construction acceptance, and project closeout activities• Liaison between site preparation sub-project and other major sub-projects on DNNP (Reactor/Power block, Grid Connection, Condenser Cooling Water, Security, Training)• Advocate for site preparation issues at project meetings• Contribute to BWRX-300 licensing activities with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC)• Contribute to permitting activities with local, provincial, and federal authorities

ABOUT WILSON CHOW
Wilson has worked in a variety of industries in engineering roles since 2005 including Automotive, Food Processing, Animal Feed Processing and Mining. He has worked as an automation engineer from 2007 to 2016 and been involved in various projects at all life cycle phases from writing specifications at the home office up to commissioning at the client\'s facilities plus all the steps in between. In 2016 he changed roles to mechanical engineering in nuclear plant design. In 2021 he joined the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project team working on a first-of-a-kind SMR project. Wilson\'s projects range in size from upgrades at individual facilities up to multi-billion dollar capital projects for international joint ventures.Wilson has a strong technical background including both home office and field engineering experience. He is constantly upgrading his skills by taking classes in his spare time. He has excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working with colleagues, clients and vendors in group settings. Wilson is a team player with a history of building tight-knit teams and mentoring new colleagues.
