About Wilson Yee

As a Client Program Manager at Weston Solutions, I apply my expertise in environmental science and policy to address issues at the intersection of environmental, racial, and social justice. I work throughout the West and Pacific Northwest with Indigenous communities and communities of color to help them identify and create their own solutions.With EPA, I designed and managed a culturally-appropriate, national technical assistance program to IRA grant recipients that empowers disadvantaged and Tribal communities to successfully complete community resilience and environmental justice projects of their own creation.I have over 22 years of experience in ecological restoration, including design, construction, maintenance, and monitoring of wetland and stream projects, oil spill and mine remediation sites. I also have expertise in fluvial geomorphology, wetland delineation, watershed assessment and management, stream assessment and habitat, grant and program management, and bilingual communications strategies. I partner with Indigenous-owned businesses, educational and environmental organizations, and federal and state agencies to support Navajo- and BIPOC-focused internship and career development programs. I volunteer with nonprofits, and mentor STEM programs in Portland and Shiprock, NM. My goal is to facilitate the reintroduction and mainstream awareness of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and Native science in land management practices, and to empower and connect all people with the natural world.
