About Will Wright
Will Wright, Hon. AIA|LA - Director of Government & Public Affairs, AIA Los Angeles Will Wright serves as the Director of Government and Public Affairs for the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA|LA). As the region\'s chief advocate for architectural excellence and urban design, he acts as a strategic bridge between the design community and civic leadership. An expert synthesizer and generalist, Wright excels at convening diverse stakeholders to solve complex problems, set city-wide priorities, and advance innovative initiatives. With over twenty years of experience advocating for a healthier, more functional, and resilient built environment, Wright connects architects with policymakers to shape public policy. His work provides critical guidance on project delivery methods, procurement best practices, infrastructure investment, and environmental performance. Beyond his role at AIA|LA, Wright is deeply embedded in Los Angeles civic governance. Since 2015, he has served on the County of Los Angeles Quality and Productivity Commission, where he currently holds the position of First Vice-Chair. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed) as Co-Chair of the Land Use, Housing, & Real Estate CEQA Committee. Committed to community equity, Mr. Wright became a founding Board Member of From Lot To Spot in 2013, an organization dedicated to transforming vacant lots into parks and open spaces for underserved communities. He previously served as a public board member for the BOMA-LA Political Action Committee. Will Wright holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
