With over 20 years of engineering leadership experience, I specialize in building and scaling backend systems, data pipelines, and web-based applications in agile environments. At Spotify, I lead a multidisciplinary team that develops tools for financial engineering, including a portal for publishers to analyze royalty data and a platform automating deal advances using a subledger and recoupment calculator. My mission is to drive collaboration and innovation by fostering team growth and delivering impactful solutions. Proficient in AWS/Azure/GCP, data modeling, and systems integration.    Built and expanded a team of backend, frontend, and data engineers that develop web-based applications, data pipelines, and tools within the Financial Engineering area of Spotify. Developed and maintained a portal for publishers and licensors to view and analyze residuals, rights claims, and other royalty-related data points. Designed and implemented a platform to automate and streamline the approval and recoupment of deal advances by incorporating a subledger, Deal Service, and recoupment calculator to enhance accounting processes. Recently assumed responsibilities for a team supporting the publisher claiming process, including claim file parsing, validation, and matching to invoices in preparation for signoff and payout of royalties. Provided mentorship, leadership, and growth opportunities for the team, guiding them through the iterative development of new features. Collaborated closely with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and extended Financial Engineering leadership to establish a roadmap and prioritize deliverables.
