ABOUT WILL MATHER
I’ve worked in recruitment for the past four and a half years, four of which were during my time in the Army. During this time my focus has been on maintenance trades, primarily painters, with a move now to Construction and Engineering.My career has focused on making sure each candidate and client has had the best possible outcome and everything they need throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. During my time in the Army, I worked with recruits to see them through the recruitment process to a week-long ‘look at life’ course. Seeing our recruits go through the process from start to finish was definitely a career highlight, and something I’m very proud of.Helping my local community has been equally important to me, which includes not only helping people back into work but supporting local community initiatives. One that I have recently supported when building client relationships was to take meetings in places that also pride themselves on helping the local community. Attending meetings in a local coffee shop that supports and helps the homeless community in Merseyside helped to highlight the importance of supporting this initiative in each meeting attended, and is something I hope to continue doing throughout my career.
