About William Jonghoon Won
I am William Won (Will), a research associate (postdoc) at AMD Research and Advanced Development. Before joining AMD, I was a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Dr. Tushar Krishna.I study architecture, systems, and algorithms for large-scale machine learning. My current focus is on software-hardware optimizations for collective communications. My research interests include training and inference of distributed machine learning models, simulation of distributed machine learning architecture, GPU networking and collective communications, and general machine learning algorithms.
