ABOUT WILL JOBLING

I’m a Project Director with almost 20 years experience delivering infrastructure and data centre megaprojects around the world. I get things done, I don’t write reports about what other people have done. I’ve been there and done it across a wide variety of project and working environments. I have a wealth of different experiences to bring to your organisation. What inspires me is helping to build things which will change the world and leave a legacy, and seeing my team flourish and grow. I’m an experienced and inspirational leader of award winning teams of diverse motivated professionals in multiple locations through remote and hybrid working. I understand how to manage projects and people in this new world of working and can make your team perform. I make work engaging and challenging, and make people want to be part of the bigger goals.I have strong communication skills, strategic thinking and commercial awareness, underpinned by academic pedigree. I’m different - I don’t have an engineering degree but you wouldn’t know it. I have had to learn my trade and soak up knowledge from others, which makes me open and collaborative. I articulate complex technical issues to a wide variety of stakeholders, which makes me a powerful advocate within your organisation and in the wider community. My breadth is my strength, I’ve worked the full project lifecycle from project development, through procurement, execution and close out several times over. I’ve been the contractor but most of my experience is client side - I have the right level of ego to judge my success by the success of the contractors I’m managing, but I understand their game enough to manage them effectively. I’m a Chartered Project Professional with the APM. I never want to rest on my laurels, I want to be constantly learning, stretching myself, achieving. Each new thing I learn makes me a more rounded leader for the next challenge.
