ABOUT WILLIE WHITE
Willie White is an honors sophomore political science major, sociology minor at the illustrious Howard University in the College of Arts & Sciences (COAS). As he is going into his second year, he made it his mission to be heavily involved with the students on his campus through various organizations. During his freshman year, he was chosen to be a Flagship Ambassador for the 20••••24 school year, where he was chosen as 1 of 40 students to represent COAS on a local, national, and international scale on Team Léon-Gontran Damas. In addition, he is a Communications staffer with Future Law Scholars, Legislative committee member with HU College Democrats, and a proud member of the HU Speech & Debate Team. He is currently interning at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in the Office of the Secretary. His mission statement is to use his words to encourage, actions to ignite change, and impact to make a difference. In the future, he hopes to use those experiences (and many more) to enter the world of politics focusing his efforts on improving civic engagement, protecting voting rights and accessibility, and navigating the ways that we can reform elections to increase public trust.
