About Willie Washington

As a Social Worker I provide support and advocate services to students and their families to enhance teachers effort in providing a safe environment, most conductive to learning to maximizing students\' potential to become productive citizen. I provide direct counseling and/or consultation to student and families when students are experiencing school adjustments and/or attendance difficulties. As a School Social Worker I make as needed home visits. This allows me to facilitate communication between the home and the school through involving parents and families in the educational process of their child or children education. This also allows me to help teachers and school personnel understand different family situations and problems which may effect students performance at home and at school. As a Social Worker I also function as a member of multi-disciplinary team regarding student related problems.
