About William-Ray Vista

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, our international team\'s commitment to advancing cancer treatment is reflected in the development of groundbreaking therapies, such as irreversible electroporation and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell immunotherapy. With experience in cancer immunotherapy biology and a specialization in biomedical engineering, my role in research and development focuses on developing innovative approaches to combat solid tumors while harnessing and strengthening our immune system. Our collaborations with the University of Massachusetts: Amherst have been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Project Program (R01) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), which demonstrates the impact of our work. My contributions in this field include mastery in vitro and in vivo laboratory techniques, specializing in as electrical and thermal ablation, and developing critical animal models of solid tumors to test various CAR-T constructs. These skills have been essential to improving our understanding of the treatment of glioblastoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, neuroendocrine cancers, lung cancer, and mesothelioma. Through meticulous experimentation and a dedication to excellence, my team has consistently contributed to translatable therapeutic strategies, enabling progress in the fight against cancer.
