For more than a century, Royer Greaves School For The Blind has been educating and providing critical services to those with visual impairment and other disabilities. RGS is committed to the proposition that all children and adults are worthy of our care and effort in assisting them to reach their full potential. As Director of Development & Community Outreach I will play a significant role in achieving this vision, and the success of RGS services, developing and overseeing integrated strategies to attract private investment, expand grassroots and high-level engagement and revenues to meet and exceed the annual fundraising goal. Donor Outreach/Cultivation/Stewardship- Work with Executive Director to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants and individual giving- Primary responsibility for development and execution of all grant requests- Liaise and develop relations with community leaders, businesses, and government officials to expand the reputation of RGS and to seek new and expand funding sources.Marketing-Evaluate and assure spending of marketing dollars are maximized and consistent with goals-Oversee marketing/communications including providing strategic direction, consistent branding and messaging, public relations, advertising, expos, seminars, collateral materials, market research, website design and content.Administrative-Provide and oversee staff support to appropriate Board activities including the Board Leadership Campaign, corporate solicitation, planned giving, etc-Manages and oversees the delivery of regular reports and analysis on funding plans, results and marketing effectiveness.
