Coordinates the planning, operations, diagrams, AV needs, dining needs, and staffing for over bookings per year for all events and reservations located in the Harre Union, VUCA, Chapel, Refectory, and outside lawn areas-Leads weekly operations meetings including Weekly Logistics and Summer Logistics meetings-Manages the selection, training, supervision, schedule, conduct, and evaluation of 60 Harre Union student employees-Supervises 15 Building Managers and 12 Bell & Beacon Games Room student staff and their lead employees-Directly supervises and evaluates the Event Technology Manager and serves as backup IT staff member when needed by managing microphones, speakers, computers, projectors, monitors, cameras, and livestreams-Serves as the primary purchaser for the department by completing payments, submitting receipts, managing purchase orders, communicating with off campus vendors, and helping manage the Union budget of over and updates all Harre Union systems including keys, swipe card access, and online platforms like EMS, Slack, When To Work, Sub It Up, Vivenu, Prismm, Google Drive, and the Valparaiso University website-Coordinates with Facilities Management and Information Technology regarding building safety, security access, cleanliness, regular maintenance, repairs, and Jira IT tickets and SchoolDude work orders-Designs all marketing and advertising materials for the department for student employee recruitment, building signage, social media and collaborates with the Valparaiso University Marketing Department on larger projects-Co-Supervises the summer camps and conferences program with the Executive Director of the Harre Union, including communicating with camp representatives, scheduling meetings, creating an on-call schedule, managing the Conference Assistant student employee team, hiring and supervising graduate interns, managing the camp bill and payments, as well as all necessary operations within campus residence halls
