William Small, JD, CCIM, has an impressive real estate pedigree that spans over three decades working with some of the largest institutional investors and corporations in the commercial investment real estate industry, and leading his own investment real estate consulting firm. His background as a real estate investor, developer, commercial broker and lawyer instills confidence in his luxury residential clients — whether he’s analyzing the investment potential of a property or leading a contract negotiation for a complex multi-million-dollar real estate transaction. Later, he entered the investment real estate industry and quickly emerged as one of the top commercial brokers in the D.C. area, receiving several awards for overall volume and size of transactions. During his career in Washington, he represented major national and international developers and institutional investors in the purchase and sale of development sites and office buildings in downtown D.C. — a 100 million-square-foot office market. In the early 1990s, he formed a commercial real estate consulting firm that specialized in advising major purchasers of RTC and FDIC non-performing loan pools during the 1990s commercial credit crisis.
