Develop, implement, maintain, and audit a comprehensive racial and health equity plan that advances Ramsey County to improve outcomes for all people of Ramsey County. Advise senior leadership on the resources, implications, and strategies to advance racial and health equity across all of Ramsey County programs, policies, procedures, and decision-making processes. Manage a team focused on key priorities and initiatives for specific departments to make sure the align with the county wide racial equity priorities and manage as well as coordinate a budge of more than a million dollars focused around racial equity initiatives and infrastructure.

ABOUT WILLIAM MOORE
Graduated with a B.A. from Concordia University, where he majored in History. Was a two-sport athlete in college and began working with youth right after graduating as a tutor and mentor. He worked in the St. Paul Public School district for 7 years as a behavioral management teaching assistant before moving on to the YMCA to run a Youth Outreach Program. While there, he ran youth outreach programs which made enough meaningful impact that he was selected to participate in such events as National Advocacy days where he has traveled and lobbied in Washington DC on Capitol Hill on behalf of public health legislation, non-profits, youth outreach programs, and bills which support implementing safety measures to support youth across America. Soon he would move over to St. Paul Ramsey County Public Health as a Health Educator 2 working on chronic disease prevention affecting policy, systems, and environmental change for the most diverse, densely populated county. He now serves as the Race and Health Equity Administrator for Ramsey County’s Health and Wellness Service Team.In 2019, William was also named a de Beaumont Foundation 40 under 40 in Public Health honoree for his achievements and work in the Family Health Division in Public Health as the first male doula in the history of the state of Minnesota who helps address the disparities in the maternal death rate as well as disparities in the infant mortality rate. He has in the past and continues to consult, train, and collaborate with numerous organizations around maternal health such as the Fund 2 Foundation, Public Health Departments, Minnesota Fathers and Family network, African American Babies Coalition, and numerous others as well as doing pro bono doula work for families.
