ABOUT WILLIAM A RETANA

With over 18 years of experience in IT and communication technologies, I am a visionary and goal-oriented senior IT executive who can strategically and cost-effectively align both business goals and IT strategies. I have a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, improving service levels, and reducing costs across various industries, including EdTech, FinTech, Facility Management, insurance, sports, and aviation.Most recently, I served as the Vice President of IT / Security at ENTRE Institute, an education software startup that offers online courses and coaching for entrepreneurs. There, I set the strategic direction for four major applications with over 100 integrations, built from the ground up to comply with changing regulations. I also created a cybersecurity roadmap with DRBCP, BIA, and company first Cybersecurity Liability Insurance, and reviewed and approved the UI/UX design for product and GDPR, CCPA, TISAX compliance. As a trusted advisor and servant leader, in the past I managed a team of 115 staff, partnered with executive leaders, and developed key relationships with vendors and clients. I hold an MBA in organizational leadership from Jacksonville University, a certificate in cybersecurity from Harvard University, and certifications in Scaled Professional Scrum Master (SPS) and ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) Scrummaster.
