I joined Yelp when it had 1 lawyer, 150 employees and $25 million in revenue and helped grow Yelp\'s legal team of 12 incredible lawyers, employees and +$1 billion in revenue. I have been on the front lines of nearly every non-litigation issue facing Yelp since 2009, including the following: • Legal oversight as effective General Counsel for newly acquired businesses, including Eat24 (US), Yelp Reservations (US), Yelp Waitlist (US)and Yelp Ireland (IE), with responsibility for ensuring legal integration into Yelp products, including product/engineering integration, privacy, and regulatory compliance. • Advise product and engineering teams on licensing of Yelp content for third-party training and fine-tuning of AI models, balancing business priorities with legal obligations. • Partnered closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks around key laws and regulations including GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, ADA, CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, COPPA, PIPEDA, CFAA, PCI DSS, CDA 230, etc. • Advise Yelp\'s Business Development team on all enterprise partnerships and revenue deals, including product review, privacy compliance, and IP-related risks. • Managed all legal issues related to Yelp Sales organization with over employees in 7 different global offices. • Oversee legal review and negotiations for all Yelp inbound and outbound transactions for all Yelp departments. • Manage Yelp\'s International entities, such as entity formation & operations in 30 countries, global privacy compliance, HR issues, tax advice, business development, & immigration support. • Involved in Yelp\'s NYSE IPO with Goldman Sachs (S-1 drafting). • Participated in the acquisition of 5 strategic companies. • Sole legal support for all Yelp office properties, including lease negotiations, insurance and development contracts. • Awarded \"Yelp Employee Elite Squad\" member (top 5% contributor).
