Implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues including assistance in resolving backup issues. System and database administration will be accomplished primarily on servers supporting the application development function. Learn and understand how the RQ-developed and commercial applications interact with the operating system and database to ensure proper integration, and to ensure upgrades and patching of the O/S and software applications are accomplished in a way to avoid or minimize disruption to application function and operation.
