About William Oh

My professional mission is to leverage my expertise and passion for advancing cancer care and research to improve the lives of patients and their families in local communities and around the world. I recently joined the Yale Cancer Center as Professor and Director, Precision Medicine and Senior Advisor to the YCC Director. I am also Service Line Medical Director at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich, leading a strategic approach to cancer program building.As a board-certified medical oncologist with >25 years of clinical and translational research experience, I held previous leadership roles at Harvard and Mount Sinai, developing innovative clinical trials and clinicogenomic databases to build novel approaches to treating cancer. As Chief Medical Officer at the publicly-traded health intelligence company, Sema4, I drove adoption of precision medicine integrating genomics and clinical data. As the inaugural CMO for the Prostate Cancer Foundation, I led efforts to reduce mortality by focusing on implementation efforts in screening for Black men in the US as well as delivering combination therapy to patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive disease.
