Project Engineering: 20 years of experience at UL and Intertek, specializing in lighting, household, and commercial products. Conducted construction reviews to UL, CSA, and IEC standards, developed test programs, performed lab tests, and authored findings and final certification reports.• I performed annual Satellite (similar to UL data acceptance program) ISO 17025 audits of client manufacturing location site, personnel and equipment that could supply test data to Intertek.• Regional Quality Manager for the certification body and 2 test lab locations. As the regional quality manager I worked with different business groups to revise or make new quality management system procedures that would be ISO 17065 (certification body), 17025 (test lab) or 17020 (inspection body) compliant. These standards have similar Quality Management System requirements as ISO 9001. I would provide training on the quality management system and answer any questions about the procedures.• My regional quality manager duties entailed issuing corrective action requests and approving the final root cause, corrective and preventative actions using lean six sigma principles. I also conducted internal audits and was the main point of contact for external audits with OSHA, ANSI, Standards Council of Canada, IAS (accreditation body) and other external auditors. I would post the findings and work with the different business units to work on the findings and send the final audit responses.• New Product Development: Collaborated with development teams at Chamberlain on multiple projects, including IEC approval of smart garage door openers and accessories (wireless wall controls, transmitters, LED lights). Ensured products met UL, FCC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Prop 65 standards.• Regulatory Compliance: Provided building code and UL safety requirement details to project development teams at Masonite for Smart Doors and new products.• As the quality supervisor at Intertek I have experience with calibration requirements for a wide range of equipment and maintaining the equipment database. I helped with getting Intertek Arlington Heights initially approved as a CB Scheme lab for HOUS, MEAS, OFF and LITE.• I have experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access applications.
