About William Glass

Good policy does not sell itself. That’s where I come in.After a decade building products and brands in healthcare M&A and marketing spaces, I had a brief chat with some friends about a political campaign they were running. Gave a couple insights blending my perception of what voters wanted and the political headwinds they were facing. They operationalized them, went in a new direction, and they won (all credit to them).Shortly after, i entered a conversation about the slow-motion disaster that is the US national debt, and the cost it will impose on millennials and their children. In that capacity, I’ve drafted talking points for television appearances, floor speeches for the US House, op-eds for policy and political leaders, whitepapers, storyboards and scripts for issue videos, crafting messages that summon millennial voters as new stakeholders in conversations that did not include them before.I have led campaigns that avoid typical political jargon and tactics, using ecommerce, edu-tainment, and creative partnerships to engage the politically avoidant. Included in this effort is the In the Black campaign, a values-based e-commerce store offering a specialty license plate to raise awareness of the national debt, which I have overseen as it grew from a freshly launched concept to the second (and soon first) most-popular specialty plate in Tennessee.I also helped draft What We Owe the Future, a set of 10 common-sense policy recommendations that have made their way into the draft forms of bills in both the House and Senate.I haven\'t wavered in my love for brand-building (shoutout to Responsible Man!), but I’m far more committed to a generational shift in the way fiscal policy is discussed, and I’m thrilled to say we’re well on our way.
