I’m a Vietnamese-American presenter, journalist, and creator passionate about exploring identity, culture, and belonging through sound, storytelling, and travel.At the BBC, I report and present across a range of global programmes — from the youth-focused international affairs podcast \"What in the World\" to \"The Travel Show.\" My documentary \"Vietnam: Return to Banana Garden Market\" — a personal exploration of heritage, memory, and place — recently won Best Arts & Culture Programme (Lifestyle category) at the Rockie Awards, part of the Banff World Media Festival.I started my career as a foreign reporter at TIME’s London bureau, and my writing has appeared in The New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Esquire, and Newsweek. I’m also the author of the book \"Wild Dances: My Queer and Curious Journey to Eurovision\"(\"A page-turning, tragi-comic memoir\" — NPR).I also run Wiwibloggs, a YouTube channel with over subscribers and 235M+ views, where I present to a global audience about music, pop culture, and performance — all built around the Eurovision Song Contest.Across everything I do — from reporting to documentaries to hosting live events — I aim to tell human stories with warmth, curiosity, and impact.
