Manage all aspects of server life cycle. • As the Team Lead I was responsible for assigning the following work to team members o Daily BAU Heat Tickets o WEX business release implementation Management and Supporto Unix Servers PCI compliance and Quarterly operating systems patching.• Day to Day Opertational Tasks and Work Requests • Project Assignments and Management of Unix work by staff• Unix Team Lead for Disaster Recovery Management and Operations• Tech Ops representative for all UNIX IT projects• Lead Project Engineer for designing and implementing the WEX highly-available Authorization System – which processes over 1million transactions a day• Manage and maintain over 500+ UNIX VMware servers for numerous WEX environments • Manage and maintain over 800+ UNIX UCS servers supporting multiple WEX projects and initiatives during business hours and on a rotating 7x24 on-call support role• Designed and scripted the WEX authorization monitoring Tool • Relocated two production data centers, with minimal downtime, which included overhauling the existing infrastructure to meet standards and moving existing systems to upgraded hardware and operating systems software.• Replatformed the WEX IT server infrastructure three times - From IBM mainframe to IBM blade technology to UCS blade infrastructure. This includes hardware procurement, installation, stabilization and deployment of all software applications used at WEX for transaction processing.• Designed, built, and Maintained two Disaster Recovery authorization Systems for WEX transaction processing – Including DR documentation and setup at Sungard facility. • Project Lead to migrate 250 Linux servers from RHEL3/4 operating system to Oracle Enterprise Linux – saving WEX over in maintenance costs.• Managed IBM hardware/software support contracts and RH OS • Review Current projects with managers for work forecast
