About Eoin Carr

I started my career as a financial advisor in Charlotte, North Carolina, by starting from the ground up at a small RIA. As an advisor, I discovered my specialty in using a comprehensive financial planning approach to help individuals and families maximize employer benefit packages. I learned from this experience how hard work and resourcefulness are necessary to provide value to individuals and their loved ones at all stages of life. Today, I am proud to be continuing my career at Vanguard, one of the top asset managers in the world. At Vanguard, I will be serving as a Senior Associate and Financial Advisor in the Advice & Wealth Management (AWN) division, which was established in 2025. While focusing on expanding Vanguard\'s capabilities to help clients achieve better results, AWM remains rooted in the company\'s fundamental values of providing clients with high-quality, diversified, low-cost solutions that allow them to keep a larger portion of their profits. My current personal goal while working at Vanguard is to increase my knowledge in a number of important areas, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and advanced financial planning techniques. One of the main reasons I chose Vanguard as my next step was to advance my career and develop my abilities as an advisor. In addition to being one of the top asset managers in the world, Vanguard stands out for its distinctive ownership structure - Vanguard is owned by its funds, which are owned by the investors themselves. Outside of work, I like to stay active and enjoy continuously learning; whether I am fishing, snowboarding, surfing, or mountain biking. I also have an interest in behavioral finance, which has really helped me better understand different perspectives and client decision-making. Apart from finance, I enjoy studying history, especially historical nonfiction - including topics like the World Wars, ancient Egypt, Roman civilization, and ancient cultures. In the past, I’ve spent significant time scuba diving across the Caribbean—an experience that reinforced the importance of preparation and appreciation for new adventures.
