ABOUT WILLIAM BARR
Dr. Barr is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is board certified in clinical neuropsychology (ABCN). His clinical and research interests include epilepsy, sports concussion, and forensic neuropsychology. He is a Past President of the Society of Clinical Neuropsychology (Div 40) of the APA and the Neuropsychology Division of NYSPA and has served on committees and boards for various neuropsychological and psychological associations. He has been on editorial boards of multiple professional journals. He has active research programs on cognitive and behavioral aspects of epilepsy and mild traumatic brain injury. Dr. Barr has also served as the neuropsychological consultant to a number of sports teams, including the New York Jets and New York Islanders. He maintains an active forensic practice with civil cases involving MTBI.
