My current position with Veterans Legacy is to provide counseling services for Veterans living at Camp Alma in rural Oregon. I applied for this position in order to work with and for my fellow Veterans. Upon my graduation from the University of Southern California I hope to use my Master of Social Work degree to help make a bigger impact with the Veterans in the role of counselor.

I provide counseling services and referral information for Veterans living at Veterans Legacy\'s Camp Alma, a communal style living community in rural Oregon. Veterans Legacy\'s mission is \"Veterans Legacy’s vision is to provide veterans a safe, secure housing in a rural setting. Our philosophy is that healing and wellness are a result of a safe environment, meaningful therapeutic experience and a community-based system of extended care leading to successful reintegration into the community.\"\"Veterans Legacy’s vision is to break the cycle of veteran suicides, mental health disorders and social costs from the underserved experiencing PTSD, substance abuse and associated traumas. Veterans Legacy’s philosophy is that healing and wellness is a function of a safe environment, meaningful therapeutic experiences and a multi-faceted, community-based system of extended care.\"
