ABOUT WILLIAM E. ATHEY-LLOYD
Hello, my name is Will Athey-Lloyd. I am an MBA Candidate in the Georgetown McDonough MBA Class of ‘23. I was most recently employed as a Grade Band Lead for the Assessment division of American Institutes for Research, which later became Cambium Assessment. My job included building client relationships, delivering online testing materials and leading educator meetings with the client. On a personal and professional level, I am the most ambitious and determined person you will find. Overcoming waves of migraine headaches through my middle school years from a concussive football hit, I refuse to view any obstacle as anything but a challenge to surmount. Whether career-related or personal, I face every task with the same relentless nature. Through many years of work and research projects, I have gained experience and excelled in many aspects of data analysis. As part of an international investment startup, I constructed algorithms that can process economic data and deliver expected returns. For my graduate research project, I performed data analysis using R to compute significant factors for food security in the poor country of Mali. In past professional and volunteer work, I furthered my interpersonal skills and did my part to promote the social good. These efforts include collaborating with associates in the Natural Resources Committee, where I analyzed investment speculation in the oil market for a report presented on the House floor. When volunteering at For Love of Children, I tutored underprivileged students in mathematics to help the D.C. community.
