As Lead Planning Manager at TRU West Alliance, I am responsible for overseeing and managing the integrated planning function across multiple workstreams within the TRU programme. My role ensures seamless coordination between various project elements, aligning schedules, resources, and strategic objectives to support the successful delivery of this complex rail infrastructure programme. I work closely with key stakeholders to maintain programme integrity, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency across planning and execution phases.Notable Projects:• TRU West W34 (£2B+)Key Responsibilities:• Integrated Programme Planning: Develop and maintain an overarching programme schedule, ensuring alignment between design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across multiple workstreams.• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point for planning integration, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, project managers, and senior leadership, to ensure synchronised delivery.• Risk & Issue Management: Identify scheduling conflicts, potential delays, and risks to project milestones. Develop mitigation strategies to ensure programme resilience and adherence to key deadlines.• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyse schedule data to provide insights and recommendations that inform strategic decision-making, supporting effective project governance.• Process Optimisation: Continuously review and improve planning methodologies, ensuring best practices in programme scheduling, reporting, and communication.• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of planners, fostering a high-performance culture, enhancing skills, and driving collaboration.• Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, concise, and accurate programme reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
