About William Weiss

Bill Weiss is a former defense industry executive with management and leadership experience spanning engineering, production, business development, and life cycle system support. Most recently, Bill was Vice President of Manufacturing, Quality, and System Support for General Dynamics Mission Systems. In this role, he was responsible for the work of over 2,300 people and 12 factories, and the production of a diverse portfolio of C4ISR systems and products and precision structures.Prior to the Manufacturing role, Bill was Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Ground Systems line of business, leading a team developing, building, and supporting large scale, mission critical computing and communication systems and networks for military customers, and responsible for over $1B P&L scale. Bill served in multiple engineering and business leadership roles of increasing responsibility over his 41-year career with the company.Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, and a Master of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University. He is a Boston University Distinguished Alumnus and serves on the Dean’s Leadership Advisory Board for the College of Engineering. Bill also serves on the Franklin Performing Arts Company Board of Directors.
