ABOUT WILLIAM VALENCIA
William Valencia serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives in the ASU College of Public Service & Community Solutions. His mandate is to leverage his knowledge of University programs to develop and execute discrete, impactful initiatives within and beyond ASU. William\'s ability to lead complex, collaborative, multistakeholder initiatives has resulted in new public and private sector partnerships with local, state, national, and international organizations. William came to the College from the ASU Office of Knowledge Enterprise Development, where he managed the University’s international engagement efforts through the acquisition, development, and expansion of opportunities with international development agencies. A Flinn Scholar, graduate of the ASU Leadership Scholarship Program, and former speechwriter for Governor Janet Napolitano, William was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from ASU with degrees in Mandarin Chinese and Supply Chain Management. He previously lived and worked in Beijing and Washington DC, where he managed the Afghanistan/Pakistan commercial support team for a global risk management and security services company.
