Joining in the capacity of Toronto Area Asset Manager, originally to oversee and develop a roadmap for the improvement of site maintenance programs. Having a mandate to improve the relationship with City management and the interaction with their third party engineering group. After a management reorganisation I stepped in to the Interim Plant Manager role, running the day to day operation of the Organic Recycling Facility. The focus was on restoring workplace values through the involvement of employees. Development of site personnel through Realignment of Rolls and Responsibilities, Updating Training programs, Introducing Continuous Improvement, etc. Leading a team of 21 including Supervisors, Mtn. Manager and Admin Staff.

Achieving budgetary result with +/-10% of annual targets. Oversight and Project Management, for Capital Project programs; Budgeting, Scope of work proposals, Return on investment scenarios, for annual Budgets up to $5m/yr. achieving on time start up and spending within +/- 5% for the assigned budget. Inherited the management of a major plant infrastructure refurbishment project, in excess of $10m. Utilising Consulting Engineers, and Contractors, to carry out the tasks necessary to ensure the building remained Safe for continued occupancy and operations.
