About William Sirski

As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer at Boeing, I quickly became an expert in creating simulation software and models, particularly flexing my ability to learn quickly, apply statistical methodology, and attention to detail to improve our software and processes. As a R&D Mechanical Engineer at GAF Energy, I applied my creativity and rigor to solve multidisciplinary problems and develop innovative solar roofing solutions that advance society towards sustainability. I am a fast learner, a passionate environmentalist, and a certified engineer with my PE license. My specialty is in connecting differing requirements from multiple disciplines in order to efficiently create solutions to ill-defined problems. My passion is in solving the problems that face society today: environmental impact, waste in the medical industry, energy and technology access in the developing world, and solving these problems from a DEI mindset.In addition to my career as an engineer, I serve as a volunteer EMS responder at Snoqualmie Fire and Rescue. Here, I develop my skills as a leader, a medical provider, and a community organizer.

   In my time at Boeing, I have grown quickly into the role of the leading developer for out Logistics Simulation and Sustainment team. In this role, I have introduced new modeling capabilities to the existing software, and have furthered the robustness of both the software and the processes surrounding designing and testing the software. Additionally, I have become a key resource for questions around the direction of further development and for debugging for our other developers and user base. I have completed 3 software releases of two separate software, and also have led the development then engaged with a key customer.In addition to my technical role, I always seek to improve the workplace for current and future employees. I have led efforts to codify our documentation and release processes. I have also taken on the role of improving and teaching our coding standards to broaden our team\'s cross-functional capacity and improve first-time quality, all while reducing the stress on our development team.This role has also been a ground for me to expand my leadership. I managed the work of contractors, allowing our team to continue project work while expanding our ability to technically advance our suite. I also coordinated onboarding efforts to allow new members to ramp up quickly and comforably.
