For those of you that use carbide tipped band saw blades, Conicity has developed an edge prep that eliminates the normal break in period for carbide tipped band saw blades and allows cutting rates to be increased to a much higher rate without sacrificing blade life. Example: Sawing 718 Inconel, 10\" long section. Normal recommended speed rates were 60 SFM X 2 sq. in./min feed, after a 20 to 30 minute break in period for the blade. After Conicity prep, the break in period is eliminated, starting speed is 175 SFM x 4 to 5 sq. in/per min. feed rate. Conicity Technologies is a US Veteran owned and operated company.
