The Resorts Duty Manager serves as the main point of contact for all major Guest and Cast situations to ensure property emergency response procedures are followed. In the event of an emergency, a significant incident or other high profile event, the Duty Manager serves as the on-scene incident response leader and the link between internal and external partners (Disney Security, public relations, media relations, local law enforcement and the fire/rescue department). The Duty Manager oversees the overall Guest experience across all lines of business, operations and functions of an operating area such as a Walt Disney World resort. The Duty Manager is responsible for walking the operation daily and interacting regularly with Leaders and Cast Members to ensure accountability for operational excellence and The Four Keys Basics. The Duty Manager monitors the “pulse” of the operation and has full authority for making on-the-spot decisions to support the business. The Duty Manager is charged with safeguarding the heritage and traditions of the company and property, taking corrective actions and providing communication, mentoring, coaching, and feedback where necessary.
