   Lead the defense group in Adelphia Recovery Trust v. Bank of America, et al. and led the negotiations that resulted in a settlement of that litigation for a small fraction of the claimed damages. • Represented one of the lead creditors in the In re Jefferson County Chapter 9 proceedings, the largest municipal bankruptcy proceeding in U.S. history at the time.• Obtained a $168 million trial judgment on behalf of Merrill Lynch/Bank of America in a breach of contract case related to currency and interest rate derivatives against a Brazilian counterparty.• Represent a number of leading financial institutions in actions relating to the issuance of residential mortgage backed securities.• Defended a major financial institution in a securities litigation trial in Texas state court arising out of the collapse of the auction rate securities market.• Represented the Chapter 11 trustee in In re Bennett Funding Group, Inc, et al. and obtained in excess of $200 million in litigation recoveries on behalf of creditors.• Represented the Campaign for Fiscal Equity in its historic constitutional challenge to the public education funding system in New York State.
