ABOUT WILLIAM ROBERTS

SkillsEngineering – I am a competent maintenance engineer and, as you can see have had many years experience with many aspects of this style of work. This has also been supplemented with ONC and HNC courses to add more knowledge. I have completed the 17th Edition Electrical Installation, I will continue my training in other BeMS equipment and also Energy Surveys such as courses run by CIBSE.Customer Service – This is a key part of my current and past roles, which I relish. I consistently get positive feedback.I.T – I am confident using the Microsoft Office package, including Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and Excel. I also have experience of the Concept, Maximo and P2P (purchasing) databases, and use Trend, Cylon, Priva, Sauter BeMS control packages. Communication – I have the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels e.g. public and management, as well as letter/memo/fax/e-mail writing. I can give advice of a technical and relevant nature. This has been proven as I have often been the person chosen for new employees to go out with for initial impressions, and also a number of apprentices.Self-Management – I have often had to work using my own-initiative to solve problems, and am confident doing so.People Management - Having worked as a supervisor my people skills are challenged daily. However I do enjoy this task and I believe I am able to get a lot from those whom I manage.Health and Safety – Being in the Building Services industry this is paramount in the work I carry out and spend a lot of time checking that my staff and contractors are working within the guidelines. Part of my previous role was to complete the work permits for all people working for Skandia, including contractors.I am now responsible for my own health and safety as I travel between and around different sites.Equal Opportunities – Everybody has the right to be treated fairly and with respect.
