About William P. Gipson
Global public company board director and a top R&D/Innovation executive who served in enterprise level roles and reported directly to the CEO of a Fortune 100 company. At P&G, the leading branded consumer packaged goods company, led 1,200 R&D professionals around the world for an $18 billion sector, including: product, process, material, supply chain, packaging, consumer research, operations and product innovation – from entry/launch to long-term pipeline. Reported to the CEO for eight years with enterprise level responsibility as Chief Diversity Officer simultaneously with R&D responsibilities. In final role before retirement, reported to the CEO as leader of the two-year enterprise packaging transformation effort for all of P&G ($67 billion). Lived and worked on three continents for P&G, and travelled extensively around the world. Knows what it is like to conduct business on a global scale, with operations in 120 countries and customers in 170 countries. Began career in the U.S. Air Force. Particularly respected for having a strong command of the governance, strategic, regulatory and operational issues faced by large, complex, global organizations. Upon retirement, joined the Rockwell Automation and ManpowerGroup boards.
