ABOUT WILLIAM MUIRHEAD
I am a neurosurgeon at Queen Square and a research fellow the Francis Crick Institute. My research focus is on the translation of new technologies and especially neurotechnologies into the clinic. I collaborate with neuroscientists at the Francis Crick Institute (where I am part of the Schaeferlab - Sensory Circuits and Neurotechnology), engineers at the UCL WEISS institute and physicists at the Wellcome Neuroimaging Centre. I am interested in finding new clinical applications for neural recording data and am the chief investigator of two clinical trials in this field. We are also working on applications of 7T MRI, AI analysis of surgical video with computer vision and neuroprosthetic brain computer interfaces.
