I am excited to announce that I am joining the Secure Building Council as a Chapter Lead for Protective Design. The group is tasked with developing the industry’s first building security certification process. This will be a framework that aims to do for safety and security what the Green Building Council (LEED) did for sustainable construction. This effort will assist what the Henrico County Police Division is doing as a national leader of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). This is such important work, and it takes leaders that are willing to step up to improve safety and security of our built environment. This work will impact generations. Here we go!
